A web app that recommends computer science electives by matching student career interests (ML, systems, security, HCI, etc.) against course syllabi, professor research areas, and alumni outcomes. Students input their target roles and experience level; the system surfaces courses they'd actually care about instead of scrolling the registrar blindly. Built on web scraping course data, embedding-based similarity matching, and a simple ranking algorithm—no ML training required, just smart retrieval and ranking of existing public data.
